Local Tables Beautiful Tradition Returns

Dig out your favorite family salad recipe and then dig in at the 16th Annual Tables Beautiful event on Sat., April 19, to be held at the Brookings Activity Center.

Tables Beautiful features fun and elegant table settings created by several area women and their families. A large selection of salads and bars are served in conjunction with the event and baskets featuring exquisite items from area businesses are auctioned off. Tables can be viewed at 11:30 and lunch will be served at Noon.

The Tables Beautiful committee is also in need of salads and desserts for the event.

Volunteers are asked to make a salad that serves 12 to15, which can be brought to the Brookings Activity Center any time between 8 and 11 a.m. on April 19. The committee will accept any type of salad that an individual may want to bring.

Bars can be brought to the Community Cultural Center on Friday, April 18. The committee will cut them down to the proper size.

Tickets for the event are $8 and will go on sale starting April 4. Stop in at the Community Cultural Center, 524 4th St. to pick up your tickets and make your reservations.
