Dakota Men's Ensemble to Hold Auditions

Dakota Men’s Ensemble Auditions for the 2007-08 season will be held Tuesday, May 22 at 7 p.m., in Lincoln Music Hall on the SDSU campus. Auditions are open to any interested male singer who can commit to regular weekly rehearsals and a minimum of 2 concerts a year.

The Dakota Men's Ensemble is a 12-20 voice chamber ensemble comprised of men of all ages and vocations who love to sing. DME presents concerts in Brookings and throughout the region through the Dakota Touring Artists program. Under the direction of founding director Brian Schmidt, the Dakota Men's Ensemble was selected to participate in regional and national conferences of the American Choral Director's Association. DME is currently under the direction of Dr. Steven Grives, director of choral activities at South Dakota State University.
